Darcie A. Flinn
Darcie Flinn earned a masters certificate for restoration from Palazzo Spinelli Per Restauro in Florence, Italy. She specialized in classic techniques for restoring paintings, along with archeological excavation and ceramic restoration. While in Italy, she worked on paintings dating back to the 1600's using classical techniques as well as modern conservation methods.
After spending four years working in Europe, she returned to the United States to work as a conservator for the New Orleans Conservation Guild, concentrating on handling, care, storage, and treatment of painting and paper artwork damaged in Hurricane Katrina. She worked at the Guild for four years before leaving to begin Restart.
